For This JTHS Senior, It's Easy Being Green
Pat Ferguson takes being a Falcon fan very seriously.

Anyone who spends any time in the during varsity basketball games has probably seen senior Pat Ferguson in the stands cheering the boys’ or girls’ teams on. However, you may not have realized it was him.
Ferguson is most often seen sporting the neon green stocking-like suit that fully covers his head and body. He and a large group of JTHS students sit behind the basket on the home side of the gym, rooting on the Falcons or, if the costume works its magic, distracting an opposing player while he or she is shooting foul shots.
Ferguson has worn the costume—proudly, he says—since his junior year.

“I had it passed down to me from Nick Anderson (a JTHS graduate),” Ferguson said. “We have a lot of fun with it, especially the color. It’s bright, and stands out in a crowd.”
The costume may have even brought some luck to the girls’ team, as they will be competing for the.

But what happens next season, when Ferguson has graduated?
“I’ll pass it on to whomever is deemed worthy,” he said. “It has to be someone who is outgoing and can make people laugh.”
