Give Some Time to Your Community

Here are some ways to help.

Even though the calendar says spring, the chilly weather might have some of us feeling a little down. There’s nothing like good weather to improve our moods. However, another way to feel good is by helping someone else. So today, we give you five things you can do to help out in Jefferson:

  1. You Can Donate to the Jefferson Food Pantry: Everyone thinks about food drives around the holidays, but those who have trouble paying for groceries need help all year long. The next time you’re in the grocery store, you can pick up some extra non-perishables and get them to the pantry. Find out how here.
  2. You Can Volunteer at the Jefferson Pound: The animals need to be walked and fed, cages need to be cleaned and the dogs and cats need some love. If you’re a pet lover, you can give some time and get some happiness in return. Here's how.
  3. : The is always in need of volunteers to be with the residents. Click here to find out how you can help.
  4. You Can Go Back In Time: Are you a history buff? The Jefferson Township Historical Society always seeks volunteers to help out at the museum. Find out more about Jefferson’s roots while doing some good for the town. Here’s how.
  5. You Can Help Throw a Party: The Jefferson Arts Committee hosts Jefferson Day, the summer gazebo concerts and other events throughout the year. Want to help? Click here to find out how.
