Growing the Next Generation of Smart Shoppers
Healthy eating was on the menu during field trip to A&P.
A group of three-year-olds from the Paradise Preschool in Oak Ridge is learning the art of healthy eating, and smart shopping, at a young age.
The group took a field trip to the A&P in Oak Ridge. They had a wonderful time with their teacher, Ms. Rose, who taught them how to eat healthy from breakfast til bedtime.
The class first sampled cereal, then moved on to the produce department to
try the fruit. Ms. Rose taught the children that they should have five fruits or vegetables each day.

Next stop was the deli, where the class tried turkey. After that they moved on to the bakery to try some whole grain bread and a cookie for a treat.
Then it was on to the seafood department, where the children got to touch a lobster. Finally, the class enjoyed a delicious strawberry yogurt smoothie in the dairy department.
