High School to Open to Residents Without Power

A shower is in your very near future!

The Jefferson Township Police have announced that the high school will be open starting tonight, Aug. 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. for residents without power to come and take showers.

The high school locker rooms will be open and available for showers, with electricity also available for electric shavers, hair dryers and other hygiene needs.

The Certified Emergency Response Team (CERT) will be heading up the efforts to help out residents affected by Hurricane Irene.

Residents are asked to use the sports complex entrance to the high school.

Jefferson police said that the high school locker rooms will be open every night from 6 to 8 p.m. until power is restored throughout Jefferson.
