Morris County Couple Killed in ATV Crash Sunday: Report

A man and a woman were killed when the all-terrain vehicle they were riding crashed into a tree Sunday, authorities said.

West Milford police responded to the West Milford crash site shortly before 12:50 a.m., a report on NJ.com said.

Authorities found a Polaris Sportsman 800 ATV exited the road and crashed into a tree, the report said.

Steven F. Struble and Valerie E. Sheerer, both 47 and from Oak Ridge, were killed in the crash, police said. Authorities did not indicate who was driving the vehicle at the time of the crash.

The West Milford Township Crash Investigation Unit and the Northern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating the crash, the report said. Anyone with information should call West Milford police at 973-728-2802.
