NWS: Winter Weather Advisory in Effect
Report: Township could see half-inch of snow, sleet through Monday night.

A half-inch of snow and sleet could hit Jefferson through the night, according to the National Weather Service, possibly making travel much more difficult Tuesday morning.
The snow and sleet are expected to change into freezing rain past 11 p.m. with lows around 27 degrees, the service said. About .1 inch of ice could accumulate, the service said.
Tuesday, however, holds more promise. NWS said the precipitation should turn into rain after 2 p.m. with highs near 41 degrees.
