Oak Ridge Resident Wins DPD Poker Tournament
Trophy, gift certificate were the prizes.

The Department for Persons with Disabilities (DPD) held it’s first “All in for Disabilities” Texas Hold “Em Tournament at the American Legion Hall in Oak Ridge on March 4. The DPD earned about $2,500 on the event. All proceeds went to supporting adults with special needs.
Oak Ridge resident Shemya Bryant and local police officer Matthew Cannarozzi split the first place prize ($800.00 each in American Express gift cards), but played the rest of the tournament out for the trophy with Bryant taking first place. Gregory Scarpa from Staten Island took third place ($200 American Express gift card).
Volunteers from the DPD all chipped in to help make the event a success. Finnegan House Director Lynne Rockstroh and her husband Ciro, Gruenert Center staff member Don Rossi, Alexander House staff member Diane Dewar and Alexander House resident John Huppman all helped out at the tournament.
