OBITUARY: Linda L. Meyer

Devoted wife, mother, grandmother.

Linda L. Meyer, 68, of Oak Ridge, passed away on May 28. 

She was born in Franklin, NJ to Frieda (nee Zoller) Coursen and Theodore Coursen. Linda married William H. Meyer in 1964 and together they raised their daughter Sharon.

Mrs. Meyer was employed at Picatinny Arsenal as an administrative officer.

She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church at Newfoundland and served on many committees within the parish.

Mrs. Meyer will best be remembered for the love she had for her family, especially her cherished grandchildren.

Mrs. Meyer is survived by her beloved husband William H. Meyer of 48 years; her loving daughter Sharon M. Van Dyke and her husband Mark of Oak Ridge; her cherished grandchildren Rachel and Ryan Van Dyke, both of Oak Ridge; her dear siblings Ted Coursen and his wife Marge of Montana, Sandi Gibson and her husband Joe of Oak Ridge, Charles (Cub) Coursen and his wife Patti of Worcester, NY and Karen Coursen of Newfoundland, NJ.

She also leaves behind her step mother Elsie (Alice) Coursen and her sister-in-law Jane Day of Naples, FL, as well as several nieces and nephews and many great nieces and great nephews.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday May 31 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. at the , 187 LaRue Road, Newfoundland, NJ 07435.

The funeral service will take place on Friday, June 1 at 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church at Newfoundland, NJ, 65 LaRue Road, Newfoundland, NJ 07435.

The interment will follow at North Hardyston Cemetery, North Hardyston, NJ.
