Police: Burglary, Theft Incidents Continue

Incidents reported to homes and vehicles.

Burglary and theft incidents continue to happen throughout the township, according to police. The following incidents have been reported:

  • On Dec. 30, a resident of  Lavina Trail reported that a small white female attempted to remove an old car battery and an extension cord from his property. The resident yelled at the woman and she dropped the items and left in a white vehicle being operated by a white male with a beard and glasses, police said.
  • On Jan. 3, a resident of Hill Hollow Road reported that someonw entered a unlocked vehicle between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.  An I-Pod was taken from the vehicle, police said.
  • On Jan. 5, a resident of Mountain Top Court reported that someone) broke his front picture window by throwing a rock through it, police said.
  • On Jan. 6, a resident of Moosepac Lane reported that someone broke a driveway reflector and lit off a firecracker in her mail box, police said.
  • On Jan. 6, a resident of Pulaski Drive reported seeing at least two people inside a neighbor’s home while the homeowner was away. Patrolmen checked the residence and all appeared in order, according to police.
  • On Jan. 7, a resident of Woodlawn Terrace reported that someone gained entry to her residence by breaking window on rear garage door and unlocking it, police said. They removed assorted jewelry from jewelry box located in a bedroom, police said. The incident is under investigation.
  • On Jan. 11, a resident of Pine Hollow Court reported that an someone smashed a second-story rear living room window.  A gold necklace, two rings and other jewelry was stolen, police said. The incident is under investigation.
