Two boat yards have had incidents, according to police.

Boats have been the target of burglary and theft attempts, according to the Jefferson Township police. Several incidents have occurred since late December, police said.

On Dec. 29, Prospect Point Boat Yard of Rt. 181 reported that the plastic shrink wrap covering three boats in the yard had been cut. Entry was made to the boats, but nothing appeared to be missing, police said.

The same yard reported another incident on Jan. 12, saying that eight boats had their shrink wrap cut between Dec. 31 and Jan. 12. Police said that while some of the boats had been entered, it was not clear if anything had been stolen.
