Quiet on the Set: Jefferson Highlights Cable TV Show Taping
Local residents volunteer for Jefferson Highlights, which puts weekly programming on Cablevision Channel 21.
Amid directions like "pan out, camera one," or "let's adjust those mic levels," a small cabin at Camp Jefferson was buzzing on Saturday morning. Volunteers from all over Jefferson came together to produce "The Ed O'Brien Show" and Β a segment with Jefferson Township Library director Seth Stephens.
Jefferson Highlights director Art Bonito runs the show, along with volunteers Christopher Bean, Rich Woznicki, R. Richard Willis, Jessica Olsen, Barry Murray, Ed O'Brien, and father and son team Birger and Kevin Leucht.
"We all know how to run everything in the studio," Bean said. "We switch around each time we do a taping."

Taping on Saturday morning included The Ed O'Brien Show with guest Cindee DeGennaro, who is the health officer in Jefferson, and Jefferson Township Library director Seth Stephens' monthly show where he discusses new books and events going on at the library.
O'Brien, one of the volunteers and host of his own show, is a junior at Jefferson Township High School.

"I answered an ad for weekly television volunteers, and it led to my show," O'Brien explained.Β
He started by interviewing coaches of the high school sports, but opened the show up to other guests to try and draw more of the town in to watch.
