Civic Involvement: While he has no political background, Alheidt has been involved in several volunteer efforts, mostly sports. He has coached football, baseball and soccer, and has been on the board of Jefferson’s Football League.

What Alheidt Brings to the Race: Alheidt says that with no past political background, he has a clear mind, and is not on one side or the other of any issue. “I have no prerequisites on how things should be run,” he said. “But I believe my ‘go-getter’ attitude will bring a spark that the board needs.”

Alheidt’s List of the Most Important Issues Facing the Board: Alheidt says the first issue he’d like to confront is the SAT scores. He would then like confront bullying issues in the schools, along with any illegal drug issues the district faces.
