On Friday, Aug. 26, the participants at the summer day camp at Camp Jefferson beat out Hurricane Irene by just a day as they celebrated the last day of camp.

The day featured a barbecue lunch, with Mayor Russell Felter manning the grill.

After lunch, DJ Earl (aka Earl Heller) spun the tunes for a dance party for all the campers to enjoy.

Finally, at 3 p.m., campers donned party hats and rang in the end of camp with noisemakers.
