What Poulas Brings to the Race: “In Jefferson, I am a taxpayer and a mother,” Poulas said. “My children’s education is important to me.” Poulas said that having a teacher on the board would be an asset, as she knows the terminology of education, and understands the demands of a school district. She said she understands that the education of Jefferson’s students cannot suffer because of difficult economic times.

Poulas has participated in the decision-making process for budgets, and believes that “with creative solutions, everyone wins.”

Poulas’s List of the Most Important Issues Facing the Board: Open and honest communication is at the top of Poulas’s issue list.

“There needs to be a partnership between the board and the public, especially in these tough economic times,” she said.
