Snow, Sleet Possible for Wednesday

Nasty weather could be on its way.

Some more nasty weather could be heading for Jefferson.

Snow, rain and freezing rain could hit the township early Wednesday afternoon, said the National Weather Service, which issued a hazardous weather outlook for Sussex, Warren and Morris counties.

Between a quarter and a half-inch of snow and rain could land in J-town Wednesday, with snow and sleep falling before 4 p.m., with 1 -3 inches possible. After 4 p.m., the precipitation could turn into a rain-sleet mix, the Mount Holly-based weather service said. Up to a quarter-inch of freezing rain could be in store for Wednesday night, the National Weather Service said.
