Mom: Still No Suspects in Jefferson Native's Murder in Virgin Islands

Reward of $30,000 offered for tips leading to an arrest.

was shot to death in the Virgin Islands in January, allegedly in a robbery gone bad. And now, two months later, authorities in the Virgin Islands have yet to make an arrest.

Even the promise of a $30,000 reward has not brought any viable leads, according to Bonnie Metzger, Tim’s mother.

“I have an advocate who is working with the Virgin Islands police, and she hasn’t been able to get any information for me,” Metzger said. “All we’ve been told is that there isn’t even a suspect yet.”

Metzger has not been forgotten by his friends and co-workers at The Big Kahuna Rum Shack in St. Thomas, where he worked.

“We’ve done a few different memorials for him,” said Robbie Rosenblit, who was Metzger’s boss. “They’ve all been very well attended. Tim was one of the most well-liked people I’ve ever known.

“I guess the police are doing everything they can,” Rosenblit said. “It’s just so hard to wait.”
