Sussex County Charities Benefit from Festival
Fire departments, youth organizations and a food bank are a few of the recipients at a music and BBQ festival

While enjoying the scent and flavors of BBQ and the sound of southern classic rock hits, many visitors to an iconic food and music festival in Sussex County are simultaneously supporting such crucial local charities as the Frankford Township Fire Department, The Sparta Community Food Bank and Future Farmers of America.
Since 2015, the Frankford volunteer firefighters have added to their fundraising coffers by selling alcoholic beverages at the Rock, Ribs, and Ridges Festival. Their efforts help them to perform their lifesaving activities.
Benefiting the Sparta Community Food Bank, festival sponsor Tito’s Handmade Vodka donates $1.00 per cocktail, amounting to $2,500 last year.

This year, members of Future Farmers of America will staff the festival’s general admission parking lot at the Sussex County Fairgrounds, Augusta, June 28-30.
Other charities that have benefited from their relationship with the festival include Blue Ridge Rescue Squad; Sparta Education Association; Newton Board of Education; Future Business Leaders of America; Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice; Hamburg Fire Department; Branchville Rotary; H.E.L.P. Foundation and Teen Challenge New Jersey.
