Tires Now Accepted at Jefferson Recycling Yard

Service available to township residents.

Effective immediately, Jefferson Township residents may dispose of used passenger tires at the township recycling yard on Wednesdays between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. and Saturdays between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. This service is for residents only, not businesses.

There is a charge of $4 per tire with no rim up to 19” in diameter and $7 per tire for tires over 19” and tires with rims.

Residents may pay the required fee at the tax office in the municipal building. They will obtain a receipt to use as proof of payment when they dispose of the tire.  Residents also may pay the fee by check at the time of disposal.  If paying by check, the name and address on the check must match the proof of residency (driver’s license, water bill) that will be required at time of disposal.  No cash will be accepted at the recycling yard.
