United Way of NNJ Announces Promotions
Five United Way organizations merged into one earlier this year
The United Way of Northern New Jersey, with offices in Morris, Essex, Somerset, Sussex and Warren counties, recently announced new promotions for regional operations for the organization.

"United Way of Northern New Jersey is pleased to announce the promotions of three top United Way staff to oversee regional operations in the newly merged five-county organization.

"United Way of Northern New Jersey CEO John Franklin recently promoted from within the five legacy United Ways: Bonnie O’Neill to head Business Integration; Andrea Conway to oversee Marketing and Communications; and Theresa Lepore to lead Resource Development.
“'We have been entrusted with serving an area with incredible potential. Our region encompasses 1.2 million residents, 1,700 square miles, and houses the headquarters or major facilities of more than 50 of the Fortune 500,” Franklin said. “Within our legacy United Ways we had the talents and strengths of these three stellar professionals and I am confident that they will successfully lead our efforts in making our five counties in northern New Jersey stronger.'”

"Senior Vice President of Business Integration Bonnie O’Neill
"O’Neill, of Blairstown, who served for a decade as chief financial and chief operating officer for the former Somerset County United Way, is responsible for finance, human resources, and IT. A seasoned United Way professional, O’Neill was recognized by NJBIZ as CFO of 2010 in the Small Nonprofits category. O’Neill has nearly 20 years of experience as a financial management and operations expert.
"Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications Andrea Conway
Conway, of Boonton Township, who was director of marketing and communications for the former Morris County United Way, is charged with developing and building the new regional United Way brand. The role includes oversight of a new website, management of regional events, and support for the resource development efforts of a Metro I United Way – the highest level within United Way. Conway is a marketing and advertising specialist who has built major marketing and advertising campaigns for United Way and high-profile media and pharmaceutical companies.
"Senior Vice President of Resource Development Theresa Lepore
"Lepore, of Florham Park, now oversees a $14 million annual campaign for the region. She is responsible for all aspects of fundraising including corporate campaigns, grants, events, and major giving. Lepore served as director of resource development for seven years with the former United Way of Morris County. She has served as chair of the United Way New Jersey Collaboration of Campaign Directors. And in partnership with United Way Worldwide, Lepore was instrumental in developing National Standards of Excellence, which are still implemented by the system today.
