Vegetative Waste Pick-Up to Resume in Jefferson

Township offers guidelines for residents.

Jefferson Township residents may begin to place vegetative waste curbside beginning Wednesday, April 6.

For the first six (6) weeks of the season, the township contractor will pick up an unlimited amount of vegetative waste, including leaves, grass, twigs and other yard waste at curbside from residents.  Beginning Wednesday, May 18, only two bags or cans with the lids off will be picked up curbside.

Residents must place vegetative material in brown lawn and leaf bags, which can be purchased at local grocery stores, hardware stores or any of the big box stores, or place materials in a trash container with the lid off so that the hauler can see it is vegetative waste. Vegetative Waste will be picked up on Wednesdays only.
