WATCH: Upright Black Bear Roams North Jersey Neighborhood
'Vinnie' is said to have injured front paws, but doesn't mind looking for food in Oak Ridge.

Even the ever-present black bears roaming northern New Jersey are preparing for Hurricane Joaquin.
One furry friend was filmed this week in the Oak Ridge section of Jefferson Township, in Morris County, lurking around a neighborhood in search of some food.
And he was doing it just like his human counterparts – upright, on two legs.

It’s a jarring sight, and even stranger when you see the bruin scurrying about after a dog barks in the distance. But that’s the bear’s prerogative, so who are we to judge?

The bear isn’t just trying to be different, though. When Vinnie – yes, that’s what locals have dubbed him – was first filmed in 2014, it was discovered the bear likely had injuries to his front paws, thus forcing him to walk on his hind legs.
