Why Go: You want to support the RISE Youth Mission group; you want to get a confidential AIDS test.

Swimming Lessons
When/Where: Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the  .
Why Go: Because the summer is here and we love swimming! The Starfish Aquatic Club will be offering swim lessons to children of all ages through mid August. Visit the website  for more information and to register.
Cost: $80 for all lessons.

Cub Scout Pack 64 Car Wash
When/Where: Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the   on North Bridge Street.
Why Go: To support Cub Scout Pack 64 and the family   Cpt. Jimmy Schupper. Of course you can get your car washed, and there will be a bake sale too.
Cost: Free.

Bridgewater Oaks Neighborhood Yard Sale
When/Where: Saturday at 10 a.m. at 57 Bond Street in Bridgewater.
Why Go: Because who doesn't love a yard sale? The Bridgewater Oaks Homeowners' Association is holding a sale for the nieghborhood chock full of fun stuff to buy!
Cost: Free, except for the cost of what you buy.

Garage Sale
When/Where: Saturday at 8 a.m. at 891 Sherwood Road in Bridgewater.
Why Go: Because don't we all love a garage sale? One family is selling electronics, kids toys, clothing, home furnishings and much more.
Cost: Free, except for the cost of what you buy.

Asian Festival
When/Where: Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at  .
Why Go: To get some Asian culture as the Somerset County Asian American organization brings food, dancing, music and much more to the high school!
Cost: Free.

Bonnie Brae Scottish Festival and Games
When/Where: From 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday atop the rolling fields of the  Valley Road in Basking Ridge.
Why Go: When the bagpipers, including Basking Ridge's own Rampant Lion Pipe Band, come marching en masse over the hills, you may think you're in Scotland. Fans of all things Scottish, from edible specialties, kilts, British cars, dogs, dancers and much more congregate here each year.
Cost: Admission is $13 for adults, $3 for ages 6 to 16; under 6 free. $5 parking charge.

Base Camp International Bike Race
When/Where: Next Thursday, May 31, starting at 6 p.m. sharp in the center of Basking Ridge; stunt bike demonstration at 5:30 p.m.
Why Go: Cheer on professional cyclists from all around the world while cheering and munching from the sidelines.
Cost: Free to watch

24th Annual Pleasant Valley Twilight Challenge
When/Where: Sunday, starting at 5 p.m. at , off Valley Road in Basking Ridge.
Why Go: Help the Bernards Township Municipal Alliance take a stand against underage drinking and substance abuse by participating in 5K run, one-mile Health Walk or "Lollipop Loop" for children.
Cost: $20 registration

Live Animal Exhibit at Environmental Education Center
When/Where: "Alive at the EEC," a live animal exhibit, will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Somerset County  in Basking Ridge, continuing through June 8, except for Memorial Day, May 28. 
Why Go: You not only get to see real animals from the surrounding Great Swamp, you can see other reptiles and amphibians — such as poison dart frogs — from around the world.
Cost: Free 

"Impressions of Nature" Photo Exhibit and Sale
When/Where: At the center in Basking Ridge, during gallery hours from 1 to 4 p.m. on weekends through June 16, except for Sunday, May 13, Saturday, May 19, or the weekend of May 26-27.
Why Go: Basking Ridge photographer Filip Everaert’s photography is exceptional for its color and rich textures, capturing the essence of the beauty of nature.

Somerset County Student Artists at Morris Museum
When/Where: On exhibit, through May 27, at the Morris Museum, 6 Normandy Heights Road in Morristown.
Why Go: The work of student artists from,  Gill St. Bernard's, Bridgewater-Raritan High School, Watchung Regional High School and more are on exhibit at the museum.
Cost: Museum admission, adults: $10, children: $7, seniors: $7, children under 3, free
