Youth Show Off Their Basketball Skills
Annual skills competitions bring out the best in rec league players.
Foul shots, layups and three-pointers were all the rage for two nights this week, as seventh and eighth grade boys and girls from Jefferson’s recreational basketball league put their skills to the test. The annual skills competitions took place at Stanlick School, where players got to test their hoop acumen
Each group started with approximately 20 players and was whittled down to ten.
The girls’ winner was Schyler White, while the champion for the boys was Scott DeBell. Each received a basketball and a Modell’s gift card.
