Hit-And-Run Driver Sought In Jersey City Crash That Sent 5 To Hospital: Prosecutors

Prosecutors are seeking the driver who collided with 2 other cars in Jersey City, sending 5 to the hospital Monday.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash in Jersey City on Monday night that injured five people, one seriously, prosecutors said.

Three vehicles collided on Kennedy Blvd. near Claremont Avenue around 10 p.m. Monday, said the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office.

A Honda Accord, a Honda Pilot, and an Infinity G37 were involved in the collision, prosecutors said. Three female passengers of the Honda Accord were injured, one with a serious injury to the lower body. Two occupants of the Honda Pilot suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the Infinity fled on foot, prosecutors said.

The injured individuals were transported to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment.

The matter is actively being investigated by the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit with assistance from the Jersey City Police Department, prosecutors said.
