Hope After Hours: Sunrise Expands Nighttime Recovery Care
Expanding care beyond traditional hours to ensure every person has a fair chance at recovery.

Newark, New Jersey — December 2025
In response to the growing need for accessible behavioral health services, Sunrise Clinical Services has officially launched a new evening Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), a major development aimed at closing critical gaps for individuals struggling with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. The expansion marks a significant stride toward ensuring that working adults, parents, and those facing housing instability can pursue treatment without sacrificing employment or essential family responsibilities.
Situated in the heart of Newark, Sunrise Clinical Services has rapidly become a trusted institution for high quality, patient centered addiction treatment and recovery support. The clinic already offers Partial Care, Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), and multiple daytime outpatient programs. The addition of evening services recognizes that recovery must adapt to the complexities of modern life not the other way around.

Public health experts note that access to treatment outside traditional working hours has been one of the most persistent barriers to care nationwide. According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), nearly 50% of individuals in need of addiction treatment cite scheduling conflicts as the primary obstacle to seeking help. This new program directly addresses that disconnect.
“Our mission has always been to treat patients with dignity and flexibility meeting them where they are,” said Mohammed Naeem, Founder and President of Sunrise Clinical Services. “No one should be forced to choose between recovery and feeding their family or keeping a job. By offering a comprehensive evening program, we are opening the doors wider than ever for individuals who are ready to transform their lives. Access is justice and we are proud to deliver both.”

The evening IOP will include:
• Comprehensive clinical services after work hours
• Evidence based treatment for substance use and co-occurring disorders
• Group, individual, and family counseling
• Medication Assisted Treatment support
• Case management and recovery planning
• Virtual counseling options for continuity of care
Clinicians and staff emphasize that addiction is a treatable medical condition and that every barrier removed can mean another life saved. “When care accommodates the realities of patients’ lives, outcomes improve. Retention improves. Hope improves,” said Naeem. “This program is not just an addition to our schedule it is a commitment to equity in recovery.”
Sunrise Clinical Services continues to partner with local hospitals, recovery courts, and community based organizations to streamline referrals and ensure continuity of care through every stage of treatment. Medicaid, SAI, Recovery Court, IDRC, Self Pay, Sliding Scale, and select private insurance options are accepted.
