NJ Caregiver Charged In Staten Island Man's Murder

The man who was in the woman's care was found dead, with the words "I touch little girls" scrawled across his chest in black marker.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — A Jersey City woman was arrested and charged with the murder of a man she was the caregiver for in Staten Island, the NY Daily News reports.

Rene Ayarde, 28 of Jersey City, was arrested on Monday and charged with the July murder of Robert Raynor, 80. Ayarde was Raynor's live-in caregiver and lived in his home in Staten Island with him, along with her 3-year-old daughter.

Raynor was dead found in his home, beaten with the words "I touch little girls" scrawled across his chest in black marker.

According to the NY Daily News, just hours before the Raynor's body was found, Ayarde was arrested on charges she assaulted her daughter. She is accused of dropping her onto concrete and dragging her — a witness tried calling police, the outlet reports, but prosecutors say Ayarde assaulted her as well.
