Pedestrian Dies After Being Hit By Car In Jersey City: Prosecutor

A pedestrian who was struck by a car at a Jersey City intersection has died, prosecutors say.

Luis Caisaguano, 61, of Jersey City died on Wednesday due to injuries sustained in the crash, said the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office.

Caisaguano was walking near Communipaw and Mallory avenues around 9:15 p.m. Sunday when he was struck, prosecutors said. He was taken to Jersey City Medical Center in critical condition.

The vehicle that hit him remained at the scene, prosecutors said.
