He was the creative director for CultureFly, which produces pop culture apparel and accessories. Independently, he said that he would soon be selling some of his Sopranos art (seen here.)
In spring, he posted about seeing the Yankees with his parents.
His obituary said, "He lived in Monroe Township for most of his life. Anyone who knew Matt knows of his extraordinary artistic abilities and his creative mind. His whimsical drawings were immediately recognizable as Matt Cap's work. While attending F.I.T. in Manhattan, he became a resident of Jersey City and part of the art community for 15 plus years...he was lucky enough to hold his dream job of creating collectibles of so many of the toys he loved as a boy.
"He was a lifelong New York sports fan and enjoyed watching and attending Yankee games with his Dad and Mom, and his many, many friends! When you become friends with Matt, he was your friend for life."
Services will be held this Thursday at the Brunswick Memorial Home, Cranbury Road, East Brunswick. Services will be 2-6, with a funeral service at 5:30.
Low fidelity noted, "Family and friends kindly request privacy and patience as they grieve this profound loss. Thank you, and take care of each other."
