With the Macy's fireworks planned for the East River and not the Hudson this year, more people in New Jersey will be looking for a way to see an Independence Day display. (And the State Fair Meadowlands, which usually has fireworks, has been canceled for this year.)

Jersey City spokeswoman Kim Wallace-Scalcione said that the daylong festival and later fireworks are still happening for July 4, but did not have all the details yet.
