JERSEY CITY, NJ - A partial retaining wall collapse from Kennedy Boulevard to Route 139 that took place Monday is still affecting commuters Tuesday morning, authorities said.
The wall collapse on CR-501 has closed all lanes from Rt. 139 to St. Paul’s Avenue in Jersey City, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
Experts will be evaluating damage throughout rush hour on Tuesday, News12 New Jersey reported.

The work site, which houses buildings demolished since December, was vacant at the time of the collapse, NJ.com reported. Jersey City fire officials are monitoring any movement of the wall with special equipment, the outlet added.
The collapse remains under investigation.
