Snow Expectation For Hudson County Increases Again: See New Map

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Several inches of snow are expected to fall in Hudson County on Saturday night into Sunday, forecasters say.

Hudson County was added to the winter weather advisory region late on Friday.

The National Weather Service says, "Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 2 and 4 inches. Where: Portions of northeast New Jersey and southeast New York...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Slow down and use caution while traveling."

The advisory is in effect from 10 p.m. Saturday through 1 p.m. Sunday.

Sunday will be cold, with wind gusts.

"Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible," the NWS said, in the specific forecast for Hoboken and Jersey City. On Sunday, it will become sunny but cold, with wind gusts up to 24 MPH and wind chills between 15 and 25.

Snow may still be on the ground for sunset at 4:29 p.m., as the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah begins.
