Two Jersey City Educators, Both Sisters Of St. Dominic, Mourned
Two prominent sisters from Saint Dominic of Caldwell, one an adjunct at St. Peter's College, died this month and are being remembered.
NORTH JERSEY — Two prominent Jersey City educators who were sisters of Saint Dominic of Caldwell passed away this month.
Sister Pat Daly, who represented the Dominican sisters as part of the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility (ICCR), "held corporations accountable to their customers and the planet," noted a Jesuit Review. She died earlier this month of cancer at age 67.
She was considered a "pioneer" in socially responsible investing.

She also served as an adjunct professor at St. Peter's University in Jersey City, and taught at St. Mary High School, Rutherford and at St. Dominic Academy, Jersey City. Read more about her here.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, Sister Catherine Gerard Kirchner, 93, passed away. She entered the Sisters back in 1948.

She was considered a "dedicated and gifted educator. She taught elementary and junior high students at St. Aeden, Jersey City; Ascension, New Milford; St. Theresa, Paterson; and Lacordaire Academy, Upper Montclair and was principal at St. Thomas More, Fairfield," says her obituary.
