2 Charged With Distributing Heroin From Waretown Home
Detectives seized 40 grams of crystal meth and 20 grams of heroin and fentanyl on Thursday from a home in Waretown, prosecutors said.

WARETOWN, NJ — A pair of Waretown residents are facing heroin distribution charges following an investigation into drug distribution in Ocean County, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office said Tuesday.
Daniel Labiak, 47, and Jaclyn Applegate, 37, were arrested Thursday, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said.
An investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force and the Ocean Township Police Department Detective Bureau and Patrol Division identified a home in Waretown that was being used to store and distribute methamphetamine and heroin, Billhimer said.

Detectives searched the home on Thursday and seized 40 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 20 grams of unpackaged heroin and fentanyl, and other evidence indicating narcotics distribution. About $13,000 was also seized by detectives, according to Billhimer.
Both Labiak and Applegate have been charged with possession with intent to distribute more than one-half ounce of heroin, possession of methamphetamine, possession of heroin, financial facilitation of criminal activity and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Applegate was processed at Ocean Township Police Headquarters and released on a summons pending a future court appearance.
Labiak was processed at Ocean Township Police Headquarters and is currently lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.
Also assisting with the investigation were detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Asset Forfeiture Unit, Ocean County Regional SWAT Team, and Ocean County Sheriff’s Office K-9 and Field Services Units.
