Army of Hope Picnic to Honor Wounded and Fallen Soldiers

The Lacey Elks Lodge will be hosting the New Jersey State Elk's Association's annual Army of Hope Picnic on Sunday, Sept. 9 from noon to 5 p.m.

The Lacey Elks Lodge will be hosting the New Jersey State Elk’s Association’s annual on Sunday, Sept. 9 from noon to 5 p.m.

“Come show your thanks and support of our fallen heroes, our wounded warriors and the brave members of the armed services from New Jersey for their dedication and sacrifice in defending our freedoms,” a news release from Jeffrey Hein, spokesperson for the Lacey Elks, said.

The event is open to the public. Admission is $25 per person and includes food, refreshments and entertainment.

Each attendee is asked to bring an item such as bug spray (pump), fly strips, hand sanitizer, mouth wash, AA batteries, hard candies, anti-bacterial baby wipes or calling cards (AT&T). The items will be sent to troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
