Christmas Parade, Decorating Competition Set In Lacey

Enjoy the Christmas season in Lacey with fun events:

LACEY, NJ — Holiday fun is in store for Lacey, with the return of the Lacey in Lights decorating competition and the Christmas parade.

Registration is open now for the Lacey in Lights competition, and it closes Dec. 1. Houses must be decorated by Dec. 6. You can register here.

A group of judges will go around to the houses during the week of Dec. 9 and narrow it down to the top 15. After that, voting will open to the public, who can choose the best-decorated house in Lacey.

Also coming up is the 39th annual Christmas parade, sponsored by the Lacey Elks Lodge. The parade is set for Dec. 8.

No registration is required for participants. However, you are asked to bring items for the food bank, which will be collected along the route.

Staging area is Lacey United Methodist Church on Lacey Road from 2:15 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The parade kicks off at 3 p.m.
