Thousands of nominations came in from across the country, but this local Rite Aid is one of the top five nationally.

“When I went to pick up a prescription and had to tell them my husband passed away, they had tears in their eyes because they knew him,” said one of Rite Aid's customers. “They told me that they would help me through anything that I needed and to never hesitate to come and see them.”

And the team did exactly that - they helped the grieving widow with Medicare as she lost her insurance upon her husband's death and got her prescriptions at a price she could handle.

“Rite Aid has been at my side through all my grieving. Their compassion should be rewarded because they go above and beyond for any customer. I personally am so grateful for them,” the customer said.

“We always treat our patients like family,” Pharmacy Manager Lauren Partel told SingleCare.

“A lot of patients have told me about their families and they may bring their kids in,” said technician Crystal Popowitch. “When they move away, it is very, very sad—like losing a family member.”

And the team itself has a great camaraderie, which means everyone learns from each other every single day.

“When our intern Noelle Glassford learns new things at school, she says, ‘Did you know about this?’” Partel said. “It’s nice learning from each other and working together.”
