Free Bicycle Rodeo To Teach Kids Safe Riding In Lacey

A BMX stunt show, bicycle classes, safety skill courses, giveaways and more are in store for the rodeo, hosted by Lacey police.

LACEY, NJ — Kids can enjoy a day of fun bike-riding while learning safety skills at the upcoming Bicycle Rodeo, hosted by the Lacey Township Police Department.

The free outdoor event will be held at 12 p.m. May 31 at Lacey Township High School.

Along with learning safety skills, the event has the following in store:

  • A BMX stunt show (ticket required)
  • Professional BMX riders from Dialed Action Sports Team
  • Bicycle and pedestrian safety/education classes
  • LTPD bicycle registration (tamperproof security registration label)
  • Bicycle inspections and maintenance advice
  • Bicycle safety skill courses with coach support (all ages and levels)
  • Free child car seat inspections/installations
  • Free prize giveaways

Tickets for the BMX stunt show can only be acquired by attending a designated safety class prior to the event.

Bring a bicycle and a bicycle approved helmet, along with a completed registration form, if not already submitted, signed by the participant and a parent/guardian.
