How Much Rain Did Ian Bring To Lacey?

Rain and gray skies have dominated Ocean County for the past several days. How much rain did Lacey receive?

LACEY, NJ — It seems like the rain will never end (though we should see blue skies on Thursday). Since the remnants of Hurricane Ian hit the Jersey Shore, it seems as though the storms have been nonstop as Ocean County got pummeled.

Lacey got hit by lots of rain, and unofficial numbers from the National Weather Service tell us just how much.

More than six inches of rain hit the Jersey Shore since Oct. 1, which some areas receiving even more.

Here are the numbers since Saturday around Lacey, according to the NWS and the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow Network:

Lacey received 8.08 inches of rainfall in total between Oct. 1 and 5, according to the NWS. CoCoRaHS reported 9.52 inches in the same timeframe.

Luckily, Lacey is in for blue skies on Thursday, according to forecasters. Thursday is set to return to sunny skies and a temperate high of 73 degrees, per AccuWeather. Friday, Saturday and Sunday should continue the trend with “plenty of sunshine,” the service said.
