Lacey Cops: Catalytic Converter Filched From Local Business

The value of the converter is estimated at $1,500, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said

LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - Lacey police are investigating the theft of a catalytic converter stolen from the vehicle at Lacey Self Storage on Old Shore Road in Forked River, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.

Officer Alan Abrecht responded to the business at 12:18 p.m. on April 18 on a theft report. The victim told police that sometime between April 15 and April 18, someone removed the catalytic converter from his 2004 Georgie Boy recreational vehicle, the chief said.

The vehicle was parked on the east side of the facility along a chain link fence, DiBella said.
