Lacey Cops Charge Manahawkin Woman With Drunk Driving After Crash

Woman hit utility pole in one-car accident, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.

Lacey Township police recently arrested a Manahawkin woman and charged her with drunk driving after she struck a utility police in the area of Kearny Avenue and Lakeside Drive North in Forked River, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.

Officer Michael Baldasari responded to the scene at 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 5 on a report of a one-car motor vehicle crash. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of Mariah K. Bartley, 24, Windlass Drive in Manahawkin for driving under the influence.

She was taken to police headquarters, where she was also charged with reckless driving and failure to maintain lane. Her vehicle was impounded pursuant to John's Law, the chief said.
