There was screaming and cheering as the Cub Scouts of Pack 35, Lacey Township cheered on their cars this Saturday, January 25, 2014. It was their annual Pinewood Derby Race, a six hour event, held at the Lanoka Harbor Fire House. A Boot, a little red wagon, a skateboard, a Tardis, Lighthouses, a Delorian and a phoenix were some of the designs this year.

The Pinewood Derby is a Scout tradition dating back to 1953 and is the most anticipated event of the calendar year for this Pack.  Boys design their cars, carefully following the rules on weight, length and wheel base.  No two cars are alike.  The boys work hard every year, and it shows.  Snacks were sold at the Road Kill Cafe and a great day was had by all.  Good Job Gentleman!
