Lacey Extends Hours For Municipal Parks
All municipal parks within Lacey are now open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

LACEY, NJ — The Lacey Township Committee has approved a resolution extending hours for the town's municipal parks.
All municipal parks within Lacey are now open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
Previously, parks were open from dawn to dusk. With dusk being subjective depending on the time of year, residents who enjoy walking at Bayfront Park have not been able to take walks late in the afternoon, according to administrator Veronica Laureigh.

About 65 people filed petitions requesting that the committee adjust the park's hours of operation.

“As soon as someone sets foot in the park whether a car is parked in the park or not, they’re calling the police,” Laureigh said at the township's Oct. 14 meeting. “So it’s been suggested by the chief of police to set established times for the times that our parks are open.”
All municipal parks, including Bayfront, Gille, Hebrew, Huffy Wallis and Clune, have the same extended hours.
