Lacey To Hold Child Safety Seat Checks And Child ID Sessions On Saturday
Safety seat check will be held in Layton's rear parking lot, Child ID event will be held in parking lot of Goddard School.

The Ocean County Sheriff's Department and the Lacey Township Police Department are hosting a courtesy Child Seat Safety Checkpoint and a Child ID station this Saturday, April 8.
The Child Seat Safety Check will be held in the rear parking lot of Layton's, at 250 Lacey Road in Forked River (located across from the Goddard School, 214 Lacey Road) from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The Ocean County Sheriff's Child ID station will be held in the parking lot of the Goddard School, located at 214 Lacey Road from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m., Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.

Trained certified child seat technicians from the Lacey Township Police Department and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department will be on site at Layton's to conduct the courtesy child seat inspections of installed seats and to assist participants in the proper installations of child seats.
Over 80 percent of child safety seats currently installed in vehicles are either the wrong seats for the child being transported or are incorrectly installed. Technicians will assist not only in the inspection of the seats, but will also educate caregivers on the proper seat selection and installation.

The Child Seat Safety Inspection and Child ID events are being hosted by the Lacey Township Police Department and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department. The seat inspections will take about 20 minuters per vehicle.
