Lacey Man Had Ghost Gun, Drugs, Cash: Prosecutor
Aidan Marshall, 19, fled from detectives into the woods and dropped a bag containing a ghost gun and hollow point ammo, authorities said.
LACEY, NJ — A Lacey man faces drugs and weapons charges after authorities discovered him to have a ghost gun and hollow point ammunition, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer and Lacey Township Chief of Police Christopher Kenny said.
Aidan Marshall, 19, is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a handgun by a person under the age of 21, possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of a high capacity ammunition magazine, possession of hollow point ammunition, possession of Xanax with intent to distribute, possession of Xanax, resisting arrest and obstruction of justice, all in connection with a series of events on May 15.
On that day, detectives established surveillance on Marshall's Lacey home as part of an investigation into illegal firearms possession and narcotics distribution, authorities said.

Marshall was seen leaving the home on foot carrying a small satchel, officials said. Detectives attempted to speak to him, but Marshall fled on foot into a wooded area, according to authorities.
He was found hiding underneath some brush in the wooded area and was taken into custody without incident, officials said.

A short distance away, detectives found the bag that Marshall had attempted to discard. It contained a homemade weapon - a "ghost" gun - with an extended ammunition magazine and hollow point ammunition, authorities said.
A court-authorized search warrant was then executed on Marshall's residence, where detectives found a quantity of Xanax and about $5,500 in cash, authorities said.
Marshall sits in Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.
