Lacey Police Charge Woman With Assault, DWI

Cops: suspect drove drunk from Tuckerton to Lacey to commit assault

Lacey police arrested a Tuckerton woman and charged her with aggravated assault, weapons charges and drunk driving.

The arrest stemmed from a Dec. 15 call during which officers responded to the 200 block of Nantucket Road in Forked River for an assault-in-progress involving a knife.

An investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 30-year-old Natalie J. Aguirre, who is accused of committing an assault with a knife – as well as driving while intoxicated from Tuckerton to Lacey in order to commit the assault, police said in a statement.

Aguirre was transported to police headquarters before being brought to the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail. She faces charges of aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, DWI and refusal to submit to breath samples.

The vehicle she was operating was impounded by police.

Aguirre was not listed as an inmate in the jail early Wednesday morning.
