Lacey Police Investigating Multiple Tire Slashings, Chief Says

Multiple vehicles had tires slashed on Pineview and Crestwood roads in Forked River

LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - Lacey police are investigating multiple tire slashings that occurred recently on Pineview Road and Crestwood Road in Forked River, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.

Officer Michael Hutman responded to the 2000 block of Pineview Road in Forked River at 2:54 p.m. on Sunday, May 20, on a report of criminal mischief to a vehicle. The owner told police that both driver’s side tires were slashed between 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, and 2:50 p.m. on Sunday, May 20, the chief said.

The damage is estimated at $150 to the one vehicle. However, multiple other vehicles on the same streets also slashed tires during the overnight hours of Saturday into Sunday, on May 19 through May 20, the chief said.
