Lacey's Second Art Show to be Held April 5
Young artists will have their work on display and for sale

The Lacey Township Recreation Department is hosting its second Students of Joszie Art Show on Friday, April 5 at 6 p.m. at Community Hall.
The art show will display the work of student artists who worked under the guidance and instruction of professional artist Joszie, who works with oil, acrylic, charcoal, graphite, combinations and other mix medias.
Art enthusiasts are encouraged to attend the art show where student’s masterpieces that were created during the course will be displayed and for sale.

Admission to the show is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
This will be Lacey’s second art show. The Recreation Department began its first series of art classes with Joszie during the fall. Four young artists displayed and sold their work at an art show held in January.

At the art show, the Recreation Department will also be taking registration for anyone interested in participating in the next sessions of Art with Joszie. Each class will highlight specific techniques such as textures, blending, mixing and more.
The 10-week program will take place at the art classroom in the Mill Pond School. Four classes are available:
- Wednesdays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. for ages three to five years old, starting April 10. Fee: $110.
- Wednesdays from 7 to 9 p.m for ages six to 13, starting April 10. Fee: $220.
- Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m. for ages six to 13, starting April 11. Fee: $220.
- Fridays from 6 to 8 p.m. for ages six to 13, starting April 12. Fee: $220.
There is an additional fee for the art kit if needed. The art kit can be purchased from the instructor or a material list can be provided.
Residents can register for the program at the art show, by mail or at the Recreation Department located at 818 Lacey Road, directly behind the police department. The office is open Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
The popularity of these art classes and shows has grown into an even bigger opportunity for local artists. The first annual Lacey Art Festival will be held Saturday, May 25 at Jones Road Park. More than 500 artist and vendor booths are available.
