Lacey Schools Will Require Students To Bring Their Own Face Masks
Disposable masks will no longer be provided in Lacey Township Schools once students return from fall break due to demand within the district
LACEY, NJ — Lacey Township Schools announced that the district will no longer provide disposable face coverings to students at bus stops and school building entrances starting Nov. 8.
In a letter to parents, Assistant Superintendent William Zylinski said students will be required to bring their own face masks when school resumes after the fall break. Students will be reminded of the requirement this week.
“While we continue to work with all of our families on all issues related to COVID-19 we cannot keep up with the demand for disposable face coverings in a district of our size,” Zylinski said.

Students without their own face covering will be asked to remain in a separate location at the school building until a face covering can be supplied by a parent. Disposable face coverings will only be supplied in case of emergencies, Zylinski said.
The recommended face covering is one that is made of cloth and covers both the mouth and the nose, according to Zylinski.

Students should also pack a backup face covering should it become soiled or break.
“It is further recommended that face coverings be cleaned frequently therefore parents may want to purchase enough face coverings so their child can rotate them each week,” Zylinski said.
Parents should contact their building principal with any questions or concerns.
