Lacey 2021 Election Results: Republican Incumbents Win New Terms

Republican incumbents won new terms on the Lacey Township Committee, according to unofficial vote counts.

LACEY, NJ — Republican incumbents Mark Dykoff and Timothy McDonald won new terms in the Lacey Township Committee race, according to unofficial vote counts.

With all districts reporting, unofficial vote tallies from the Ocean County Board of Elections show Dykoff with 7,593 votes and McDonald with 7,722 votes. Republican challengers Bill Stemmle and Stuart Feldman received a total of 2,799 and 2,597 votes respectively.

On the Lacey Township Board of Education, unofficial totals have voters returning incumbent board member Harold 'Skip' Peters and Salvatore Armato to the board. Peters received the most votes at 5,493; Armato was second with 4,590 and Buron picked up 3,112 votes.

In a referendum question on the ballot, voters chose to ban the sale and cultivation of recreational marijuana in Lacey. The question tallied 4,831 'yes' votes to 5,488 'no' votes.

Results don't become official until certified by the Ocean County clerk.

Lacey Township Council:

  • Mark Dykoff (R) - 7,593
  • Timothy McDonald (R) - 7,722
  • Bill Stemmle (D) - 2,799
  • Stuart Feldman (D) - 2,597

Board of Education:

  • Harold 'Skip' Peters - 5,493
  • Salvatore Armato - 4,590
  • Amanda Buron - 3,112
