On Thursday, Dec. 30 at 7:26 a.m., Officers Michael Baldasari and Michael Hein were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a theft. Loss prevention reported that they observed an adult female place items in her purse and attempted to exit the store while avoiding the registers. A 39-year-old woman was arrested and charged with shoplifting. She was released pending a court appearance.

On Thursday, Dec. 30 at 11:01 a.m., Officers Michael Hyle and Michael Hein responded to a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the Lacey Historical Society. Officers discovered the driver, William Greene-Vonglahn, 26, unresponsive in the driver’s seat. Once William was alert, officers deemed him under the influence placing him under arrest.

During a search incident to his arrest, Vonglahn was found in possession of heroin. Vonglahn was charged with possession of a controlled substance, DWI, reckless driving, and controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. He was released on his own recognizance in accordance with bail reform.

On Thursday, Dec. 30 at 2:13 p.m., Officer Dan Ricciardella conducted a motor vehicle stop on Municipal Lane. The driver could not produce identification and provided personal information that was later determined fictitious. Officer identified the driver as Nima Yadegari, 21, of Ocean Township, who was a wanted person for violating a court order.

During Yadegari’s arrest, he was found in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, specifically Xanax. Yadegai was charged with possession of a controlled substance and hindering apprehension in addition to numerous motor vehicle summonses. He was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility without bail.

On Friday, Dec. 31 at 4:02 p.m., Officer Nyeem Calhoun met with Walmart Loss Prevention in reference to a female shoplifter. A 43-year-old woman was charged with shoplifting after attempting to exit the store with merchandise valued at $70. She was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility without bail.

On Saturday, Jan. 1 at 12:12 a.m., Officer Anthony Ravallo was dispatched to Whitcomb Road for fireworks. The caller reported that his front bay window was struck with a bottle rocket causing the window to crack.
